Who can join CoPro+?

Membership is open to all public-sector agencies in and out of Michigan, including municipalities, counties, K-12 schools, higher education institutions, and special districts.

Is there a cost to join CoPro+?

No, there is no membership fee to join CoPro+. Participation is free for eligible public agencies.

What types of contracts are available through CoPro+?

CoPro+ offers a wide range of competitively bid contracts for goods and services tailored to the unique needs of public-sector agencies. This includes everything from office supplies and technology to fleet services and facilities management.

How does CoPro+ save my agency time and money?

By using pre-bid contracts, your agency avoids the time and expense of managing its own procurement process. This allows you to purchase faster and at competitive prices while remaining fully compliant with public procurement standards.

Can all departments within my agency use CoPro+?

Yes. Once your agency is a member, all departments and divisions have full access to CoPro+ contracts and benefits.

Are the CoPro+ contracts competitively bid?

Yes, CoPro+ contracts are competitively bid in accordance with applicable state laws by Michigan local governments and school districts. This includes public notice of solicitations, public bid openings, and awards based on either the lowest responsible bidder or best value criteria, ensuring transparency, competition, and legal compliance.

Are the contracts compliant with Michigan procurement laws?

Yes. CoPro+ contracts are compliant with MCL 124.504. The Michigan law empowers counties, school districts, cities, and other public agencies to exercise their spending authority with other public agencies. CoPro+ facilitates that cooperation by creating an environment for agencies to exercise their spending authority by efficiently and effectively sharing public contracts for goods and services. Additionally, CoPro+ contracts are competitively bid in accordance with applicable state laws by Michigan local governments and school districts. This includes public notice of solicitations, public bid openings, and awards based on either the lowest responsible bidder or best value criteria, ensuring transparency, competition, and legal compliance.

Member Agreement
This Cooperative Procurement Plus (“CoPro+”) Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the CoPro+ Program and the CoPro+ Member Organization (“Member Organization”). By joining CoPro+, the Member Organization acknowledges and agrees to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this CoPro+ Member Agreement.
