Yes. CoPro+ contracts are compliant with MCL 124.504. The Michigan law empowers counties, school districts, cities, and other public agencies to exercise their spending authority with other public agencies. CoPro+ facilitates that cooperation by creating an environment for agencies to exercise their spending authority by efficiently and effectively sharing public contracts for goods and services. Additionally, CoPro+ contracts are competitively bid in accordance with applicable state laws by Michigan local governments and school districts. Please review the following member agreement terms below and complete the application to apply for a CoPro+ membership. When applicable, we encourage you to include a secondary contact on your application. As a reminder, membership is free.
Member Agreement
This Cooperative Procurement Plus (“CoPro+”) Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the CoPro+ Program and the CoPro+ Member Organization (“Member Organization”). By joining CoPro+, the Member Organization acknowledges and agrees to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this CoPro+ Member Agreement.
The Member Organization agrees to the following:
- Public Use: All purchases made through the CoPro+ Program are for public use only.
- Purchasing Policy: The Member Organization will follow its own authorized purchasing policies and procedures.
- Payment Responsibility: Payments will be made directly to the supplier, and the Member Organization assumes full responsibility for its expenditure of public funds.
- Supplier Relationships: The Member Organization will work directly with the supplier(s) to address all service or product-related issues.
- Liability: The CoPro+ Program is not responsible for damages related to the Member Organization's purchases under this Agreement. To the extent permitted by law, the Member Organization agrees to hold the CoPro+ Program harmless from any lawsuit or claim arising from the use of products or services purchased through this program.
- Data Security: The CoPro+ Program is not responsible for providing data security and is not be liable for any data loss or breach related to the use of IT goods or services purchased through this program.
- Advance Notice: To the extent possible, the Member Organization will provide advance notice to CoPro+ when planning to use a contract within the program by emailing Shawn Vaughn at Shawn.Vaughn@CoProPlus.org.
